Cherians spread good cheer

Cherians participated in their annual gift-giving activities on December 6 and 14, 2020.

The recipients for the first day of the Share-A-Gift Program were the pupils of Doongan Elementary School located at Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City. Cherians from the preschool and grade school department gave away their presents after a short getting-to-know-you activity inside their assigned classrooms.

On the second day of the said activity, the high school students of Enfant Cheri visited Por Cristo Home for the Abandoned Elderly in Brgy. Abilan, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte. The event started with a short program where the recipients got to dance and play games. After which, they had their snacks that the Cherians prepared for them. Each student chose one from the recipients to be interviewed. The actual gift-giving took place right after that.

From the activity, the Cherians gained insights about life in general, especially about family. They were reminded to be always thankful for all the blessings they receive.

After the program, the Cherians were then asked to make a reflection paper out of the activity that took place.

‘’I feel glad and grateful for the opportunity to share my blessings to others,’’ said Arnel Lumenario Jr., a Grade 10-Justice student.

The people-in-charge of Por Cristo and the faculty of Doongan Elementary School also received Christmas presents from the Cherian community. They were thankful to the school administrators for initiating such charitable deed.
